Domestic violence

Everyone will react differently to domestic violence, so it is difficult to predict reactions.

However, the organisation can prepare people with the skills and awareness to respond in a proactive way, supporting their own and their colleague’s wellbeing.

An informative workshop targeted towards managers and HR, this programme provides tools for management to support employees, plus the change concerning the Domestic Violence Act legislation.

  • Understanding the new legislation

  • Pin-pointing the signs of domestic violence

  • Learning the “3 Rs” - recognise, respond, report

  • Being aware of local support services

  • Following self-care concepts, including setting limits & boundaries

  • Putting the new legislation into practice

While the above programme is built with managers and HR staff in mind, we also offer support to affected employees. Counselling sessions can be provided to assist with psychological wellbeing support, or employees can take up action plan sessions, which facilitate step-by-step plans to dealing with violent situations.
