The accreditation of our professional staff is determined by in-depth quality assurance measures. These include our professionals having the following:-

 

  • Appropriate New Zealand recognised qualifications.
  • Registration with a professional association and therefore covered by a code of ethics and disciplinary procedures.
  • An understanding of commercial environments.
  • Professional indemnity insurance.
  • Regular professional supervision.
  • A minimum of five years' experience as a qualified practitioner.
  • A wide range of clinical case experience in terms of clients and their presenting problems, assessments and interventions and in monitoring and evaluating of clinical practice.
  • A sound knowledge of, and background in, ethnic and cultural issues. Every effort is made to find a suitable OCP professional where a specific request is made concerning an ethnic or cultural issue.
  • Knowledge, skills and experience in working with alcohol and drug problems.
  • Working knowledge of New Zealand business - public and private sector organisations, organisational structures, cultures, roles of management, workplace representatives and occupational health & safety.
  • A working knowledge of current personal services agencies.

 

We also contract to a number of Human Resource & Industrial Relations Specialists who have extensive industry experience with individual and collective staff issues.
